Spy cars get banned!

This morning the newspapers are full of the news that the Government has clamped down on local authority parking enforcement after the recent consultation. The measures include:

  • Banning mobile and fixed CCTV for parking enforcement
  • The trial of a 25% find discount for those that lose appeals
  • Improved guidance for parking attendants
  • The right for locals to demand a review of parking

Whilst this is not strictly to do with private parking enforcement, it is reassuring to see that the Government is taking over-zealous enforcement seriously.
