This morning the newspapers are full of the news that the Government has clamped down on local authority parking enforcement after the recent consultation. The measures include:
- Banning mobile and fixed CCTV for parking enforcement
- The trial of a 25% find discount for those that lose appeals
- Improved guidance for parking attendants
- The right for locals to demand a review of parking
Whilst this is not strictly to do with private parking enforcement, it is reassuring to see that the Government is taking over-zealous enforcement seriously.
